Job Title: Bookkeeper (Construction experience)

Location: Surprise AZ
Employment Type: Full-Time, In office

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper with at least 5 years of experience and a strong accounting background. The ideal candidate will have experience in job costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping functions. While a background in construction or real estate is preferred, it is not required.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Perform job costing and track project-related expenses
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
• Prepare and maintain financial records and reports for management review
• Utilize QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, or similar accounting software
• Assist with billing and invoicing, including knowledge of construction billing practices (preferred but not required)
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accurate financial records

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience with an accounting background
• Experience with job costing, payables, and receivables
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, or other comparable accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
• Construction or real estate industry experience a plus

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

• Knowledge of construction billing software
• Familiarity with industry-specific financial processes and reporting

Compensation:
$55,000 to$65,000
