AKT Detailing Services has been providing structural and miscellaneous steel detailing services to Steel Fabricators across North America, as well as connection design for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects since 1998. Our experienced team of detailers has collectively worked on over 1000 projects across North America, delivering meticulous precision. Continuously staying up-to-date with the latest 3D modelling software and embracing BIM, our team consistently achieves and exceeds project targets. Our staff and project managers are equipped to handle projects of varying sizes and complexity.

Role Description

This is a full time position for a Business Development Representative. The role involves delivering sales presentations, building relationships, providing excellent customer service, and developing new business opportunities. Responsibilities include maintaining communication with clients, understanding their needs, and driving sales to meet company targets. Must be able to generate and qualify their own leads, through calls or email. Also should be able to maintain warm and prequalified leads. This is a hybrid role based in Houston, TX, allowing some work from home. Compensation package is competitive and includes base salary range of $50,000 - $60,000 depending on experience and is negotiable for the right candidate. Opportunity for additional bonus/incentive structure.This role requires a valid drivers license as travel within the Houston/Texas area, as well as neighbouring states may be required for client meetings, or presentations once appointments are set.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve assigned sales quota which includes higher revenue/growth targets by self-generating leads or following up on warm qualified leads.
  • Cold calling Steel Fabricators and prospecting within a designated territory to set appointments and conduct strong needs assessments
  • Perform virtual and in-person presentations to prospects
  • Develop presentations, lead sales calls as part of sales process
  • Update client information in organizational database and manage the administration needed per account in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Organize quotes/bids, and actively negotiate contracts

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in related field
  • Well versed in CRM software such as Apollo, or HubSpot
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Meticulous with an attention to detail, when taking notes, or setting appointments
  • Sales Presentations and New Business Development skills
  • Strong Relationship Building and Customer Service abilities
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a hybrid environment
  • Experience in the steel detailing industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
