About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Institute for Thriving Children and Families. The successful candidate will be an equity-driven leader with a strong background in early childhood education, developmental psychology, public policy, sociology, or social work. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include strategic and organizational leadership, external partnerships and fundraising, development and oversight of research and policy projects, and infrastructure and capacity building. The role demands a minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant field, a significant track record in leading and managing policy and/or research initiatives, and a demonstrated ability to secure and manage grants and contracts. The Executive Director will be expected to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, including national, state, and local agencies, advocates, and policymakers, to advance equity-driven reforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to racial and economic justice, with a focus on research that centers the voices of historically marginalized communities. They should possess strong communication skills and the ability to use research and policy analysis to influence action at various levels. Experience in building infrastructure within research and policy organizations is also a desired qualification. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the Institute's strategic direction, growth, and external partnerships, and will play a pivotal role in promoting evidence- and equity-informed policies and programs that benefit young children and families, particularly those facing the effects of poverty, racism, and systemic injustice.
