We’re now looking for a Part-Time Finance Coordinator to join our friendly and collaborative Finance and Operations team in West Hartford, CT. In this key role, you’ll support financial record-keeping and administration, acting as a central contact for financial accounts and helping to ensure our operations run smoothly and accurately.

This is a hybrid role offering 20 flexible hours per week, with just one in-office day each week. It’s perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a supportive, mission-driven environment. Location: West Hartford, CT (hybrid – 1 office day/week)

Rate: $25.00/hour

Key Responsibilities in Finance Administration

• Administer accounts receivable processes and manage debt collection.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports ensuring timely month-end closures.
• Monitor and execute tasks in accounts payable and supplier payments.
• Manage customer account inquiries with prompt responses.
• Handle check deposits and payment postings efficiently.
• Identify transaction irregularities and address them appropriately.
• Process employee expense reimbursements accurately.
• Review and audit company credit card expenses.

Business Administration Responsibilities

• Receive, scan, and distribute mail efficiently.
• Support the preparation process for the annual audit.
• Coordinate office supply purchases and employee expense requirements.
• Prepare and reconcile company expense accounts monthly.

Additional Duties

• Contribute to process improvements and system integrations as necessary.
• Handle ad-hoc assignments with a proactive approach.
• Enhance workflow efficiency through automation.
• Provide operational support when required.

Required Skills and Competencies

ESSENTIAL:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Forms.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Experience in handling accounts receivable.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification.

DESIRABLE:

• Familiarity with NetSuite software.
