With over 30 years of experience, this 150-person firm is nationally recognized in programming, planning, and design for healthcare, science & technology, higher education, K-12, and civic sectors. The firm's expertise includes transformative projects for schools of medicine and health professions, advanced research and teaching laboratories, museums, civic landmarks, tech offices, and innovative clinical facilities on higher education, healthcare, and urban campuses. Candidates should have the following skill set: Passion for the complexities of healthcare architecture & medical planning Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment Experience in organizing and leading occupant/user meetings Strong organizational and prioritization skills Excellent interpersonal skills Creative problem-solving abilities Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills Leadership and mentorship experience in healthcare projects Ability to collaborate with user groups, departments, and hospital administration in programming and planning healthcare facilities Experience working with principals on developing and analyzing building programs Experience working closely with medical personnel to reach consensus on space needs Knowledge of current healthcare planning and programming concepts Research and analysis skills in space utilization and solutions for evolving needs Collaboration with project managers, contractors, and consultants to implement design concepts Ability to maintain positive client relationships Experience in marketing, proposal development, and client interviews Monitoring quality of drawings and coaching team members Keeping current with healthcare design methodologies, sustainability, LEAN, and evidence-based principles Participation in development and implementation of goals within Healthcare Practice Group Sharing healthcare planning knowledge with colleagues and mentoring junior staff Knowledge of building codes, agency requirements, engineering systems, and collaboration with contractors Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare project planning, design, and documentation Experience working within a large, team-based environment and leading coordination efforts Extensive client interaction and project team management skills Proficiency in Revit/BIM for large-scale buildings Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Architecture Professional license within California LEED-AP BD+C certification Please Note: Delays may occur if uploading portfolio PDFs.
