Requirements 3 to 4 call shifts a monthThe shifts vary/ Weekday shifts are 8a-5p, 8a-8a, or 5p to 8a. Weekends are 8a-8p, 8p-8a, or 8a-8a. scheduling is done 1-2 months ahead.Rate no higher than $315/hrThere is in house anesthesia 24/7They are only the attending usually with a resident. Locums covers floor and ED consults and operates on Gyn emergencies as needed. They mostly work with an Ob GYN RESIDENTAverage 2 - 3 deliveries per dayMix of mostly low and some medium and high risk - we have a level 2 nursery and keep and deliver all patients greater than 32 weeksWhat does a typical day look like - come in , get sign out, huddle with nursing, wait for and manage existing labor patientsSince this is in-house position regardless of the hours the shift, is there an on-call room the provider is to stay in or can they stay off site as long as they are within a quick drive (20 min or less)? 100% in house - even if no one in labor, hang here - call room with bed, couch, tv and computer, bathroom with shower.Will the locum work solo or are there other OBGYN?s on the same time they are? they are solo. occ a private will have a patient in labor, but mostly alone with resident - nurses can reach out to MD's if backup is neededHow many other OBGYN?s are part of this group at this hospital? there are currently 10 FT, per diems and locums that cover.
