Phoenix Childrens Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) to join our growing abdominal transplant team. This position will be one of six APPs providing inpatient and outpatient coverage to the pediatric kidney and liver transplant programs. The Pediatric Kidney Transplantation Program began operations in 2002 and is the only active pediatric kidney transplant program in Arizona, having performed over 280 transplants and typically transposing 12?15 patients per year with outcomes meeting or exceeding expectations. The Pediatric Liver Transplantation Program, launched in 2012, now performs an average of five transplants per year with comparable success rates. The liver and kidney transplant programs are part of the Phoenix Childrens Transplant Center, which also includes bone marrow and heart transplantation programs. The role collaborates directly with hepatologists, nephrologists, surgeons and other clinical teams, including nutritionists, social workers, pharmacists, and transplant coordinators.
The team of six APPs provides inpatient coverage to the liver and kidney transplant programs seven days a week in rotation. When not providing inpatient coverage, APPs give outpatient coverage to the liver transplant program.
